My name is Priscilla, I am wife to one and mom to 3 and there are a quite a few things I am exuberantly passionate about, but one of them is saving money. I HATE watching people get ripped off or just plain paying through the nose for everyday expenses. In my short 25 years, I have learned some financial lessons the hard way and now my husband and I work very hard to keep our hard earned money. Me: Let me guess, $600?
Mildred: How'd you know?
Me: Been there, spent that. Let me call a reputable place and see what they'll charge.
[Mildred DEF would have paid the $600 to Toyota had I not intervened. YIKES]
B&D: B&D Automotive. How can I help you?
Me: Hi, How much for a water pump for a 200* *****?
B&D: Hold on...ok for a 200* ***** it will be $260, we usually charge $325?
Me: Ok, awesome. How about a discount if we pay cash?
B&D: Oh, always a deal for cash. $250.
Me: Great! We'll bring it in today. Thanks!
So in a matter of 30 seconds, I saved Mildred $350. There is nothing magical about what I do or how I do it. I just do things that dont occur to other people. If there was ever time people need to start cracking down on where their dollars are going, its NOW.

ReplyDelete2nd- let me say that B&D Automotive in corona is the only place I would take me car or recommend taking a car to be looked at or worked on. If I had a blind great aunt with a car problem I would feel 110% confident sending her there alone. Not only do they have GREAT prices but the service is "Nordstrom" quality!
Can't wait to hear more idea's and tips-- for some people somethings come so naturally that for other's would be hour's of painfull and resultless thinking!
haha...blind aunt! When my dad started had having car issues awhile back, I told him to try to B&D bc of Don & Denise. I remembered they had used them and like them. Since then, we have used them and then I had my friend use them. I love being able to recommend a place for things like that bc other places can be so flippen shady!!
